Tea Dance at St Mary's Church, Fratton

Last year, one of our regular dancers Julie arranged a modern jive tea dance in St Mary's Church in aid of their Organ Project, and it was such a success, they ran it again on Sunday, 16th July, 2023... and let's just say that it was an even greater success this time around.

Loads of Love 2 Jive regulars and crew were in attendance, alongside folk from the church congregation and the local area - some of whom had danced before, and some who were brand new to any kind of partner dancing. Andy Kale did a brilliant job DJing, and Dave Bennett taught a lovely lesson, assisted by Julie as demonstrator on the day.

I've added some photos and a short video above, but you can see more on the St Mary's Church website, where you can also see photos from last year's event. We're hoping for another event at St Mary's soon, so we'll let you know as soon as we can for any dates.

Thank you to all involved, and all who attended for helping to make the afternoon such a success! The Vicar is Bob White and in charge of the catering as part of the Organ Project is Matt Dixon.
